CWG 2018, Day 8 LIVE: Sushil Kumar and Rahul won gold in Wrestling

CWG 2018: India's star badminton player P.V. Sindhu has achieved great success. PV Sindhu defeated Australia's Sunan Yu Wendy Chen and made it to the quarter-finals of Women's Singles.

Gold Coast: The eighth day of the 21st Commonwealth Games being played in Australia In 7 days, India has bagged 12 gold, 4 silver and 8 bronze medals. India is on third place after Australia and England in the medal table with 12 gold wins. Host Australia has won 57 gold medals in 7 days, while England has managed to win 26 gold medals. The 7th day was mixed with India only. On the 7th day, 1 gold and 2 bronze medals came in the part of India.

• India's Star Wrestler Sushil Kumar won gold medal in the 74 kg event of freestyle wrestling. Sushil Kumar had made his grip strong against the opponent from the start of the match.


• Today is the day of wrestlers of India in the Commonwealth Games. After Rahul and Babita, Kiran won the bronze medal with India winning the match.


• India's Rahul Avare got the gold medal in the 57 kilogram event of Wrestling event. Rahul won the Gold Medal by defeating Wrestler of Canada, Rahul defeated Wrestler Bilal of Pakistan in the semi-finals and made it to the final. Rahul won the final match 15-6.


• India's Rahul Aware is competing with Canadian Wrestler in the 57 kilogram event of Wrestling event.


• India's Star Wrestler Babita Kumari has named Silver Medal India in the 53 kg event of wrestling. Canadian wrestler got Gold Babita Kumari lost the final to 3-5.


• Indian players have won 12 medals so far. These include 4 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals. In the 21st Commonwealth Games, India has bagged the most medals in the shoot.

• The final event of the women's 50 meter air rifle prone has started in the shoot. Tejaswini Sawant and Anjum Modgil of India are participating in this event. India expects medal from both of these.


• In the men's 74kg category in Wrestling, Sushil Kumar has also made a place in the final. Sushil Kumar defeated Wrestler Corner Andas of Australia in the semi-finals. For Gold Medal, Sushil Kumar will be up against South African Jones Botha.
