After the stormy half-century of young Ishant Kishan (62), with the help of the bowlers, the current champions Mumbai Indians defeated host Kolkata Knight Riders by a massive margin of 102 runs in the match played at Eden Gardens Stadium.

Due to Ishant's finest innings, Mumbai first scored a huge score of 210 runs in 20 overs, losing six wickets in 20 overs. Mumbai's bowlers managed to save a huge margin from this huge target and Kolkata won the match by 108 runs in 18.1 overs.

After this victory, Mumbai has come in fourth place in the numeral table. Man of the match, Ishan completed the half-century in just 17 balls. This is jointly the fastest half century in the IPL for Mumbai. Ishant hit six sixes and five fours in his 21-ball innings.
