IPL 2018: Despite the defeat against CSK, Mumbai got 'Surprise Package'

In the first match of the IPL 2018, Mumbai Indians started with a defeat. In the thrilling encounter against Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai lost to the team even after reaching victory but in spite of that, Mumbai got a surprise package that could prove to be an effective weapon for the team in the forthcoming matches.

This surprise package is no more but Mayank Markandey, 20 years old. This right-handed spin bowler has surprised everyone with his bowling in the first match of the IPL. Markandeya managed to take 3 wickets in 23 overs in the four overs against CSK.

Thanks to the excellent bowling of Markandeye, the team of CSK had lost 8 wickets for 118 runs at one time. Markandeya took wickets of Ambati Rayudu, Captain Dhoni and Deepak Chahar during his bowling.

Although Markandeya's excellent bowling also did not win the Mumbai Indians. Bravo came on to bat at No. 7 from CSK, Akl turned the match on his own. Bravo played a stern innings of 68 runs in 30 balls, including seven sixes and three fours.

Earlier, CSK had invited Mumbai to bat first before winning the toss. Earlier, the Mumbai team made 165 for four after losing four wickets. Going to chase the target of 166 runs, CSK team completed it after remaining 1 wicket.
