The West Indies have included explosive batsman Andre Russell in his national team after nearly one and a half years for a charity T-20 match against Rest XI. Following the match, due to the doping violation, Jamaican resident Russell will return to the international T20 format.

Russell played his last match for the West Indies against India in August 2016. After which, the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) had imposed a one-year ban on them. 
Apart from Russell, Ashley Nurse, Chris Gayle, Evelyn Lewis and Marlon Samuels have also been included in the 13-member team. They were not part of the team in the T20 series played against Pakistan. 
This charity match will be internationally, which will be played on May 31 in the Lord's. England captain Eoin Morgan will be the captain of the World XI team. The objective of organizing this match is to raise funds for the reconstruction of Anguilla's James Roland Webster Park and the Winsonder Park Stadium of Dominica. The park was damaged due to storms called Irma and Maria.
