Name of Manika Batra and Harmeet Desai for Arjuna Award

TTFI official said, "We have sent her (Manika) nomination today. After such a strong performance in the Gold Coast, the committee (government) will be very difficult to ignore it. ''

Gold Coast was the best

The 22-year-old Delhi player defeated Feng Tiawei of Singapore three times, Olympic medal winner, Singapore, in the fourth position in the Gold Coast. He is the only Indian player to win four medals in this tournament.

Apart from winning the record gold in the team event and women's singles, Rajat and G. along with Mouma Das in women's doubles. Bronze medal in mixed doubles with Sathiyan was won.

Manika's next challenge will be to perform spectacularly in the world championship starting on April 29 in Sweden. At the same time, Desai won a bronze medal in men's doubles, besides winning gold in the Commonwealth Games men's team event.
