CSKVRR: CSK's debut in the new home from Shane Watson's century

With the help of excellent bowlers' bowling after the glorious hundred of Shane Watson (106), Chennai Super Kings have started with the victory of their new home ground. CSK defeated Rajasthan Royals by 64 runs in their first match in Pune.

New Delhi / Pune: After the glorious hundred of Shane Watson (106), Chennai Super Kings has started with the victory of their new home ground with the help of their bowlers' excellent bowling. CSK defeated Rajasthan Royals by 64 runs in their first match in Pune.

Earlier, batting first, Chennai scored a huge score of 204 runs for five wickets and then conceded Rajasthan by 140 runs in 18.3 overs to win the match by 64 runs. 

This is the third win in four matches of Chennai, while Rajasthan have to face the third loss in five matches. 

Chasing a target of 205 runs from Chennai, Rajasthan, after losing 32 wickets, lost their three wickets. The team then lost wickets at regular intervals and was 64 runs away from Chennai's target. 

Ben Stokes top scored with 45 runs for Rajasthan. He scored 45 runs off 37 balls with three fours and a six. Jos Buttler contributed 22 and captain Ajinkya Rahane contributed 16 runs.

Deepak Chahar (2/30), Shardul Thakur (2/18), Dwayne Bravo (2/16) and Karn Sharma (2/13) got two wickets apiece for Chennai. Watson and Imran Tahir got 1-1 wickets.

Earlier, opener Shane Watson (106) hit a magnificent century to make Chennai a huge score of 204 for five wickets. 

Watson, with 57 fours and six sixes in 57 balls, scored a superb century in 106 balls. He was out on the fifth ball of the 19th over of the innings. This is Watson's highest score in the IPL. 

Watson, who scored a century in the 11th season of the league, became the second batsman. Earlier, Kings XI Punjab Chris Gayle scored an unbeaten 104 against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday. 

Watson, playing against Rajasthan for the first time, used to be a part of the Rajasthan team in the league before and once he scored a hundred against Chennai. Now, in the 11th edition of the league, Watson scored a century against Rajasthan, playing against Chennai.

Watson with 50 runs for the first wicket with Ambati Rayudu (12), 81 for the second wicket with Raina, captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (5) with 20 for the third wicket, Sam Bills (3) with the fourth wicket For the fifth wicket with 41 and a partnership of 41 runs for Bravo. 

Apart from Watson, Suresh Raina, who returned to the team after two games, scored 46 runs in nine balls with nine fours. Dwayne Bravo contributed an unbeaten 24 runs in 16 balls with four fours. Chennai added 44 runs in the last five overs. 

For Rajasthan, Shreyas Gopal took three for 20 runs in four overs and Ben login took two wickets for 38 runs.
