London: England cricket team's battingist Alastair Cook has supported the format of '100 Ball', but he says that with this test and first-class cricket should be preserved. According to the BBC report, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has proposed a new cricket format '100 Ball'.
The 33-year-old Cook said, "The significance of the five-day cricket format should be maintained between this new format. I still think you should preserve traditional cricket."
Cook said, "Definitely you'll be seeing how each tournament is moving forward, but Test cricket is not progressing like that, just like it was developing 10 years ago."
He said, "Presently all the money is in a small format, so it is important to find ways to preserve Test cricket."
