CWG 2018: Gaurav Solanki wins gold punch by gold
This is Gaurav's first medal in the Commonwealth Games. Earlier on Saturday, Marie Com gave India the first gold medal in boxing.
Gold Coast: India's boxer Gaurav Solanki has given the country the second gold medal in boxing on Saturday, the 10th day of the 21st Commonwealth Games being played in Australia. Gaurav secured the gold by defeating Brendan Irvine of Northern Ireland 4-1 in the finals of 52 kg event of men's boxing.

Gaurav completely dominated the first round. He raised good points from his left jab and troubled Irvine. Gaurav became more aggressive in the second round and he constantly kept pressure on Irvine while hitting the punch. Apart from Jab in this round, Gaurav also utilized some good uppercut. Irvine counters were doing, but they were not able to succeed. In the last round, Gaurav performed better and did not allow Irvine to attack.
