Gold Coast: Today is the 10th day of the 21st Commonwealth Games being played in Australia. 9th day was very good for India and added 3 gold to India's account. In the Games, India has so far won 18 gold and remained at the third spot in the medal table. With the highest 66 gold wins, Australia is at number one in the medal table, while England is on second place with 31 gold.


                                                   



  • In the 21st Commonwealth Games, India has won a total of 51 medals so far. These include 23 gold, 13 silver and 15 bronze. India is at third place in the medal table. Australia, with 70 gold, and England at second place with 37 gold.

  • Another gold has come to India's account. Indian wrestler Sumit defeated Taib Raj of Pakistan in the free-style 125kg event. Sumit won this match 10-4.

  • India's female boxer Mary Kom has created a new history in the Commonwealth Games. Marie Com has become the first female player to win gold at the Commonwealth Games boxing event. Marie Com won gold medal in Commonwealth Games for the first time by defeating Christina O'Hara of England in the final of Boxing 5-0.

  • England's women's hockey team defeated India by 6-0 in the match played for Bronze Medal and kept them out of medal. England played one-sided in this match and attacked the attack, which India did not have the answer to.

  • India's shooters Sanjeev Rajput and Chain Singh have made it to the final of the rifle-3 position event. Rajput and Chain Singh secured first and second position in the qualification.
